History & Applications of Science in the UK

A Faculty International Development Program

We’d like to invite you to participate in the State Center Community College District’s first-ever faculty international development program.  From June 2-15, 2014, you’ll spend two weeks exploring the historical development & modern applications of science firsthand at the Universities of Oxford & Cambridge, the British Museum, Stonehenge, the Royal Society, Glenkinchie Distillery & more. You’ll meet with highly respected faculty, curators & scientists for exclusive access & tours not available to the public! During the trip, you’ll experience the history, development, and applications of science in a fresh way that will revolutionize both your understanding of science and how you relate it to your students.  The United Kingdom provides a unique classroom for this program in that so many important discoveries and applications were pioneered in such a geographically small area.
